Texas Forward Party Statement on the Paxton Impeachment Verdict
The Texas Forward Party is deeply concerned by the Senate’s acquittal in the case against Attorney General Ken Paxton. We believe this decision was based on the fear of political consequences, rather than on a sober assessment of the evidence laid before them. Their actions significantly undermine the principles of transparency and accountability that should underpin all areas of public service and compromise the integrity of our judicial and political systems. The Forward Party seeks to restore the core values and ethics that uphold the integrity of our systems and protect the best interests of every Texan.
We commend the brave public officials and whistleblowers who had the courage to stand against Ken Paxton’s unethical behavior. Their commitment to integrity despite the risk to their position and being ostracized by their own party is a beacon of hope reminding us that the commitment to truth and justice transcends party loyalties. These individuals exemplify the kind of leaders we aspire to have in our great state of Texas and a part of the Forward Party. Unfortunately, the current political system punishes those who stand for these principles.
We call upon all Texans to support the Forward Party and help create a state that is free from corruption and cronyism, a state where the voices of every Texan are heard and respected. Let’s stand together for OUR democracy. In the words of Sam Houston, “Texas will again lift its head and stand among the nations. It ought to do so, for no country upon the globe can compare with it in natural advantages.”

The Texas Forward Party is focused on restoring the integrity of our political system by supporting candidates who uphold the values of grace, tolerance, fairness, and compromise. Our goal is to address the system that limits our candidates to extremes on the right and left, and holds power for a select few who represent a minority of voices in the state.
