What does The Forward Party Stand for?
The Forward Party champions a data driven approach to governance, recognizing that our rapidly evolving world demands solutions based on reality rather than ideology. We stand firmly for constitutional principles while rejecting the constraints of the two party system.
Unlike traditional parties that impose top down platforms, we believe solutions must be tailored to local needs. What works for Texas differs from California, but we unite against threats to democracy itself.
In Texas, our focus addresses our state's unique challenges around affordability, immigration, and healthcare with policies crafted through local engagement rather than national mandates. We recognize that even within our 254 counties, one size never fits all.
Our primary mission is democratic reform. This includes fighting gerrymandering, opening primaries, and modernizing our voting systems to ensure every Texan has a meaningful voice. We're building the infrastructure for candidates and citizens to participate meaningfully in governance at every level.
Just because our first step is democratic reform, doesn’t mean we don’t have a vision for what comes after. Forward has examples of what Forward governance looks like in different states. But to see what we stand for here in Texas, you’ll have to get to know more than just a sound byte, a trope or a cute slogan.
Forward isn't about left or right policies. It's about moving beyond outdated frameworks to create practical, effective solutions that work for real Texans in real communities.
Each candidate endorsement that Forward makes goes through a process to make sure candidates have the skills, principles, and values that align with Forward: commitment to honesty, to problem solving with those who differ from you, and to evolving their positions when new data becomes available. In order to move our party forward where no third party has made enough of a breakthrough before, we work alongside and in coordination with democrats, republicans, independents and existing third parties. Forward will endorse anyone who falls in alignment with our vision.
