It’s Time to Put Forward Candidates on the Ballot

We stand at a pivotal moment. The challenges facing Texans right now are too real and too urgent to delay. It’s time to Run Forward.

Today’s political climate is more fractured, polarized, dysfunctional, and downright exhausting than ever. Both the Republican and Democratic parties have negative approval ratings. Neither holds a genuine majority. Independents, Texans who refuse to be told how to think, who refuse to be pigeon-holed into an ideological box, represent the state's largest voting bloc. It’s time we give them candidates they can believe in, not ones chosen by the two parties that got us into this mess.

Anger, Frustration, Distrust

The major parties are entrenched in their 'inflame/fundraise/do nothing' doom loop. They and their surrogates rage-bait their bases and their opponents not because it solves problems, but because it sells. For them, issues are worth far more unsolved than they are solved. And we, ordinary Texans, pay the price.

So, while Republicans in the state legislature are busy rigging Congressional elections and powerless Democrats flee the state in a futile attempt to stop them, everyday Texans are asking: “Why are my utility bills still rising?” “Will I ever be able to buy a home?” “Why are groceries so expensive?” These are the real, kitchen-table issues we face every day, and no one feels heard.

It’s Time for a New Way Forward

Building a government that listens to the people, one that addresses the issues most important to us every day, requires presenting new choices to voters up and down the ballot. It’s in this environment that Forward Texas is shifting from planning to execution, from ideas to action. We will recruit, support, and run values-based, results-focused candidates who will show Texans that another path is possible, one built on shared purpose, not division, on solutions, not slogans.

What We Need from You — Now

Time is short. The deadline to file your intent to run for office in next November’s election is December 8th 2025. Just a couple of months away. Collectively, we must take decisive action in the coming weeks. We need:

1. Leaders to step up
   Are you one of these candidates? Have you thought about running for city council? School board? Congress? But you’ve never taken those first steps? Maybe you’ve never thought about it before, but the current situation is weighing on your mind. Drop me an email or click the “Run for Office” button. Let’s talk about it.
   

2. Volunteer to recruit candidates
   Do you know a local leader—teacher, firefighter, small-business owner, parent—willing to run? Drop me an email or click the “Volunteer” button.
   

3. Join us at an event
   Curious but not committed? Find a Forward event near you. C’mon out and get to know us.
   

4. Talk about Forward publicly
   Share our message: We reject the narrative that politics must always fracture us. We’re for freeing politics from the identity trap, for everyday results, for Texans first.
   

5. Seed early support
   Both credibility and momentum matter. Even small contributions or endorsements help.

We’re Determined to Make a Difference

Nothing changes until someone introduces real competition. That someone is you. The future is not given; it’s built. If we act, we can be the disruptive force that’s needed to create a fundamental shift. But it requires timeliness, organization, discipline, and faith in something bigger than the old parties.

So today I ask: will you help us transition from ideas to action? Will you help us get candidates on the ballot who represent you, your neighbors, and your community?
