Texas Forward Party Appoints Civic Leader Ciara Perez as Cameron County Chair

CAMERON COUNTY, Texas – The Texas Forward Party State Executive Committee has officially appointed Ciara Perez to serve as the Chair of the Forward Party of Cameron County as of Thursday, January 29th, 2026.

Perez brings to the role extensive experience in community leadership, grassroots organizing, and civic engagement throughout South Texas. Her appointment signals a renewed commitment by the party to strengthen local political infrastructure and ensure responsible governance in the Rio Grande Valley.

"I’m honored to share that I have been appointed Cameron County Chair for the Forward Party of Texas," Perez said. "Over the past several months, I’ve been working alongside dedicated Texans who believe our communities deserve practical, collaborative, and solutions-driven leadership."

Focus on Infrastructure and Conventions Perez assumes leadership at a critical juncture as the party prepares for the 2026 election cycle. Her immediate priorities will include coordinating county-level organization and ballot access initiatives in preparation for the County Precinct Conventions in March and the State Convention in April.

"Stepping into this role is an opportunity to help strengthen civic engagement at the local level," said Perez.
