Texas Forward Party Appoints Retired Executive Ed Graham as Travis County Chair
Global engineering veteran to lead Austin-area operations ahead of 2026 State Convention
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Forward Party State Executive Committee announced the appointment of retired executive Ed Graham as the new Travis County Chair, effective Feb. 2, 2026.
Graham assumes leadership as the party prepares for a critical infrastructure-building year. His immediate priority is organizing Travis County for the Precinct Conventions in March, paving the road to the Inaugural State Convention in Austin this April.
A San Antonio native, Graham earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rice University in 1989. He spent the next 35 years with ExxonMobil, leading engineering, project management, and operations teams across North America and the globe. His career included extensive field operations support across every region of Texas before he retired in 2024 and settled in Austin.
“I’m honored to have been appointed as Chair of the Forward Party of Travis County,” Graham said.
“Having lived and worked overseas for a large portion of the past 20 years, it has been hard to watch from afar the partisan discord that has emerged in our political system. Poor government leadership has led to the decline of our middle class, with a majority of Americans now struggling to build a better future for their families.”
Graham views his new role as a continuation of his service to the community.
“I care deeply for Texas and for the United States. I want a better future for the next generation, including my own three children," Graham added. "I am convinced that the competition created by more choice at the ballot box is the only way to address the current political mess we are in.”
