Forward Policy Committees
The Texas Forward Party actively engages executives and volunteers in developing comprehensive policy statements. These statements gather diverse Texan voices into a unified platform, offering multiple practical solutions in increasingly functional formats for current legislators and future candidates.
We believe deeply in grassroots solutions, developing policy proposals from the ground up. Rather than crafting policies behind closed doors, we integrate expert knowledge with perspectives from local citizens and political leadership to create well rounded policy solutions.

Healthcare, Affordability, Education are in full swing. If you’re interested in giving feedback, please either join our Discord, volunteer on the website for Policy Committee, or reach out to your local leadership.
Our Policy Committees operate with agility, balancing innovative ideas with democratic development principles. The process begins when individuals draft outlines on specific topics and present them to our executive committee. We collect feedback in an increasing number of ways on these topics in order to represent all citizen’s concerns in our solutions development. We also actively seek out leadership amongst groups who are affected by policies. These drafts undergo rapid review and modification, continuously collecting broader input. Through several iterations that incorporate data, historical context, and clear explanations, our policies reach approval. Our process does not allow for policies to get stuck in never ending bureaucracy.
This collaborative approach ensures our policy vision truly comes from the people, for the people. We provide this information freely on our website to support existing governmental processes and as part of our candidate pipeline, creating leadership pathways across Texas for those who believe in the Forward way.
